I previously posted about the cancellation of “AIDS Benefit Gala, A Celebration of Diversity,” a AIDS fundraiser sponsored by a Boston College student LGBT group, here.

Boston College officials are now discussing the possibility of a January dance (you know, to make up for everything), which would be open to all students, with students of the Gay Lesbian Bisexual and Transgendered Leadership Council.

Please don’t misunderstand Boston College’s stance on queer students – they are “welcome and accepted at Boston College,” according to Jack Dunn, a university spokesman. It’s just… well… the university can’t “sanction an event that promotes” their “lifestyle.”
