Focus on the Family closes their account.

Focus on the Family, a conservative Christian organization based in Colorado Springs, Colo., has fired its banker, Wells Fargo.

The move, which was gaining attention Saturday, was to protest the company’s “ongoing efforts to advance the radical homosexual agenda,” according to a statement by Focus on the Family’s chief executive officer, Jim Daly.

“These efforts are in direct opposition to the underlying principles and purpose of Focus, and thus a decision of conscience had to be made and a stand taken,” Daly said of Wells Fargo, which employs 19,000 Minnesotans.
