Some students say the author of the article is openly gay, and I’m assuming they think that makes the article okay. I don’t care what the author is. The article isn’t okay. I have a problem with tax dollars funding school newspapers used as a medium for spreading hate.

Schools should be working against ignorance. Isn’t that what they are there for? Or are they just popular hangouts?
