New Web Site Launched, OutNotes.com, a Place to Share ‘coming out’ Letters

(PRLEAP.COM) The site is already receiving letters of appreciation from people who have already come out, and others who are still struggling to come out:

“These letters brought tears to my eyes because I understand that these people are bearing their souls at the expense of everything they hold dear. I wish them all well and only hope that they have an easier time of it than I did.”

OutNotes.com has begun to grow in size; as letters have begin to pour in since yesterday’s launch. The letters vary considerably: from short and to the point, to heart-wrenchingly said, to humorous and witty.

From Outnotes.com:

Hi… I don’t really know who it is I am writing this to, perhaps everyone that has been in my life up until this point, and perhaps even everyone who ever will be in my life.

Some of you already know what I am about to say, because I’ve already told you or you have been struggling with the same or similar issues.

Most people would never assume I am the way I am. You see me and I look all-american. I look like the girl next door, who’s gonna fall in love with Prince Charming and go on to start a family with one golden retriever and 2.5 children.

Well I am that girl. But I won’t be falling in love with Prince Charming. You see I’ve already fallen in love, with PrinceSS Charming. I’m a lesbian. I always have been.

I know this may come as a shock to you all. I played with barbies and baby dolls and my little ponies. I wore dresses and lacey tights and pink pearls. I tap danced and painted and sang.

I have long hair. I ware make-up. I love high heels. And I’m a Lesbian.

So I guess what I want to say is don’t think you know everything about a person. The last person you’d ever expect could turn out to be gay or lesbian or transgendered or bisexual. So please, just keep that in mind. Treat people with respect, be kind. And most importantly keep an open heart and and open mind.

PEACE

Jessi
