“Pansy, Dyke, Homo, Fag: 150 Years of Queer Culture” on display at NYU through September 15

The exhibit “Pansy, Dyke, Homo, Fag: 150 Years of Queer Culture” will be on display at New York University’s Bobst Library, 70 Washington Square South in New York City, through Thursday, September 15. On display will be English and American novels with queer content dating from 1740 through the present, early German and English gay rights materials, queer pulp novels, photos, archives, and materials documenting the New York downtown arts scene. Everything from pornography to Orlando to mainstream gay fiction (cover models for which range from traditional twink to Tom of Finland butch) will be on display to the public, capturing the ongoing face of queer culture.
