Ralph starts his new diet today. He can only have 212 kcals a day, and they will all come from the the two Iams wet foods that have the least carbs: Ocean Fish and Turkey and Giblets. He gets a little less than two 3 oz cans a day.

Barbara Asher, also known as Mistress Lauren M, is accused of watching a former client have a heart attack and die while tied by his wrists to a rack. Prosecutor Robert Nelson says that Asher called for her boyfriend, Miguel Ferreira, who arrived ten minutes later, to help her as she watched 53-year-old Michael Lord die without doing a thing to help him. Nelson says Asher and Ferreira tried to revive Lord when they finally removed him from the rack, but were unsuccessful. He claims they then put his body in the bathtub and left, not calling the police because of fear the police would find out about Asher’s operation, and returned the following day to dismember Lord’s body with a hacksaw and divide his remains into eight trash bags which were never found.

Jewelle Gomez Jewelle Gomez was born in Boston where she graduated from Northeastern University . She received her MS from Columbia University School of Journalism and lived in New York City for 22 years before moving to San Francisco . She was on the original staff of SAY BROTHER, one of the first weekly black television programs in the U.S. (WGBH-TV) and on the founding board of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).

Hanne Blank is a writer, editor, public speaker, and educator whose work has appeared to great acclaim in many print and online publications, anthologies and collections, as well as in book form. A classically-trained musician who is also formally educated as an historian, she has been writing full-time since 2000.

I’m still unsure if I will be able to attend, but I’m trying to stay optimistic.

Jenny Shimizu has been named sexiest woman by UK’s Pink Paper. Angelina Jolie came in second.

I don’t think their relationship was very fair. It seems to me that two “sexiest” people shouldn’t be allowed to date each other so that two not-as-sexy people get to brag about their “sexiest” partner.
