I'm in favor of supporting Gay businesses.
New York City has become a Gay bookstore dessert with no oasis in site. Financial loss due to the economy is a main reason for poor sales. I would love to buy a Gay coffee table book. Lets be real. I can not afford it without employment.

All major bookstores censor their lists. They want to make money. I'm not sure how it works with Amazon being an online only bookstore but Barnes and Noble and Borders both limit the books they carry, and thus what we are exposed to read, based on sales. Hopefully there is not some religious bent to this glitch. As for neighborhood bookstores in Minneapolis we have, ironically, Amazon Books. A lesbian and gay bookstore that has been around much longer than Amazon.com. http://www.amazonfembks.com/
