To be clear - I wouldn't object to a sensitive and nuanced portrayal of a lesbian trans woman on TV. That would be great. But I am immediately suspicious, because this is mainstream for the masses TV, that the kiss the character shares with a lesbian is going to be used in weird ways that conflate sexual orientation and gender identity, and not responsibly framed. I am not sure of this kiss with a lesbian as a vehicle but I am not going to criticize anymore because it hasn't even aired!

Jami, be forewarned, Pine Valley is like The Hotel California. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave ;)

I should know, I've watched AMC since 1979, when I was negative 13 years old. :)

Femmester, from my understanding, the kiss between Bianca and Zarf is going to be the vehicle that brings the storyline to light. I don't think they're going to be a long term couple on the show.

OK, maybe I am being a big cynic but are they going to reinforce that trans = gay???? So this character will be a trans woman who is a lesbian? Nothing against portrayals of lesbian trans woman in the media (underrepresented representation!) but I just can't help thinking that once again gender identity and sexual orientation are being collapsed as one and the same. Hopefully I will be proven wrong.
