Today on Tyra

It’s sick that I can’t miss this.

“Am I A Lesbian?”

Is it possible to be a lesbian only part-time? Tyra speaks with women who say, “Yes,” and others who think that women who kiss each other just for fun, or to turn guys on, is an insult to those who have fought for gay rights. Plus, a woman who thinks she might be a lesbian lets the “Tyra Show” cameras follow her as she goes on a date with a woman for the first time! Another young woman wants her mother to accept her lifestyle choice and her girlfriend of three years. And, Lauren Blitzer, the author of “Same Sex in the City,” explains the concept of “part-time lesbianism.”

Oh, for heaven’s sake… “Part-time lesbianism” — has the word “bisexuality” been removed from the English language, or what? I must have missed that memo.

Not that bisexuality is synonymous with “women who kiss each other just for fun, or to turn guys on” either, but I just can’t believe that these people really think that the concept of being interested in both genders is some strange new thing there isn’t a word for yet… Where the hell have they been?

Did anyone else catch it? Wasn’t it *horrible*? My favorite line was “I’m a committed lesbian.”

So now I should specify whether I’m committed or part-time?

Either way, the pay is shit.
