Time for More Shoes

Lilith’s post on boots reminds me that it’s time for more shoes.

I’d never wear the Magic Mushroom Pump, but it certainly is fun to look at.

These, however, I’ve had to stop myself from purchasing a few times (every time I’ve been in Macys).

I adore that bottom one, the loafer one. They’re wonderful. I would love it even more if there were a mule version. I realize the part covering the toes would have to be extended higher up the arch to compensate for no heel, but hell, I would just put toupee glue on my soles to keep them on.

Aren’t they great? I like them better in black but they only had a pic of the brown ones.

Jen, you might not have to make any mods to the ghillie to go backless. Check out these wedgies as an example of minimal toe cover.

Jen, I think I’ve shown these to you before. But in case I haven’t:

    Tommy Hilfiger ‘Blaine’ Mule

And I really think that price is wrong.

Maria, we ARE talking about Filene’s, so the price may very well be right.

I don’t know. I’ve spent A LOT of money at Filene’s. But never that much on shoes. More on bedding and stuff. Speaking of bedding, I like this. And this.

Wow, Jami, they’re really glam. Pretty though.

Maria, they’re awesome - I can handle a 3 inch heel! And for someone in student debt, nice price!

Jen, the gold wedgies ARE pretty, but I’d like them a lot better if they were just a natural tan or brown leather. They were the first pair I could find as an example of a minimum of coverage in the front. I’ve owned exactly one pair of gold shoes (flats, no less) that wasn’t intended to be worn with a long formal. I’m not the everyday glam type.

::sigh:: I love cute shoes. My problem is, I can hardly ever find them in my size. I wear an 11 1/2 narrow. I can often find 11M or even 12M and sometimes 11N or 12N. But, 11 1/2 N — hardly ever. For my wedding, I had to buy 12N and put cotton in the toes. And, because Mary is already 6″ shorter than I am, I tend to not wear anything with a high heel.

Having said all that, I really love looking at them! ::grin::

Gotcha, Jami - I go for the style of it, too. Funny, I’m either wearing boots or mules, totally covered or not covered.

Denise, I do the same thing - looking just for enjoyment’s sake. I do that with jewelry, too, but not clothes.
