You emphasized &quot;quality&quot; but I have a feeling that &quot;quantity&quot; is really the operative word in the Wendy&#039;s statement.  The unspoken but understood word in the statement, of course, was &lt;strong&gt;profit&lt;/strong&gt;.  Essentially, they can&#039;t get as many tomatoes for the same price, so they simply quit using them in order to maintain the same miniscule profit margin per sandwich.</description>
