I had no idea this was being shoved down LITTLE kids throats! That's the same as people showing your children a gun in detail. How it works, fires off and destroys! People have different morals obviously, and schools should be teaching the basics, we don't need them to be the role model that we aren't asking for. That's the parents job. That's the word we need to get out instead! YUCK! This made me sick! I had no idea this was being shoved down LITTLE kids throats!

That’s the same as people showing your children a gun in detail. How it works, fires off and destroys!

People have different morals obviously, and schools should be teaching the basics, we don’t need them to be the role model that we aren’t asking for. That’s the parents job. That’s the word we need to get out instead!

I feel that the world is attacking our christian comunity and we cant let them just ignore our beliefs if they do not believe thats fine we are not here to judge but to pray for these people, but also not let them walk all over our beliefs, every day that passes this world is getting worst and worst all i can tell you christians is lets prepare for our lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Schools insist that they do a good job and it's the parent's fault that their kids aren't doing well in school. Ohhh, but that's only when it's convenient for the school! When a parent gets directly involved and insists on receiving what I consider the bare MINIMUM; the opportunity to be notified so as to take parental action that's in the best interest of his child and their family values (that, again, the school says is 'missing' in the system), that parent is arrested!?? His life forever changed and his record and reputation scarred -- and all over the school reaching FAR outside their bounds of teaching! They attempted to levy MORAL authority over a child that is NOT theirs. The action the school took disgusts me (the teaching and calling authorities), and I applaud Mr. Parker's steadfastness and parenting -- hmph, imagine that, he was 'PARENTING' and look what it cost him? Certainly, this is an issue and parents should have a say, as to what is being taught to their children. Especially, when it’s a controversial subject that has been added to the schools curriculum; the parents should have been notified by letter. This would have prepared parents to take action by expressing their concerns to the superintendent. It also would have given parents an opportunity to explore other options for their children; home schooling or seek out a private school. Most important, it is essential that as parents we continue to teach our children morals and values and not compromise by allowing society to infiltrate their minds.
